Energy rates are always increasing which means the prices are always getting more and more each year, but with these very simple tips you could end up saving a bomb on your next electricity bill!
Firstly to save energy in your home, make sure that if you’re not in a certain room (or it’s not being currently used at that point in your home), then make sure that all the plugs, lights, appliances etc. are switched off at the wall, another easy way to do this if the sockets are in hard to reach places would be to turn off the power for that room, via your mains box (usually under the stairs, the thing the “electric guy” comes and looks at every now and then). This alone could end up saving you around £100 on each bill (depending on how much energy you use). But that’s not it! You can purchase Solar Panels for your home which will generate electricity throughout sunlight hours and will store the energy in a generator of sort until the night-time comes, it will then use this energy to keep your home up and running. If you buy the solar panels yourself, you may not necessarily need to pay for an electricity bill every again, which means the panels will pay for themselves after a couple of years!
